About

My name is Andy Garcia, but my family has called me Nando for as long as I can remember. It started as "Nandy" when I was young and eventually evolved into Nando — most likely due to my mother’s Spanish accent.

My background is in graphic design, UI design, photography, and videography, but in recent years, I’ve dedicated myself to leather-craft. What started as a hobby making wallets and clutches for friends has grown into a deep exploration of the craft. I take pride in working by hand, using traditional techniques to honor the generations of artisans who came before me.

My work is heavily inspired by my heritage as a second-generation Mexican American and the history of the Southwest. I blend these influences into my designs—pockets shaped like adobe parapets, a vaquero riding New Mexico’s state bird in my logo, and other subtle nods to the past woven into my pieces.

I don’t consider myself a master craftsman, but I push myself to improve every day. Nando’s Leather Goods is the culmination of every skill I’ve developed so far, executed at the highest standard I can achieve. Beyond leatherwork, I balance a full-time career in graphic design. My time is limited, so when I get the chance to fully immerse myself in my craft, I make it count.
